aPODD Launch New Website

The aPODD Foundation are launching a new website to mark the start of a new era for the charity.

The charity was created by a group of parents, who all have first hand experience of childhood cancer, and wanted to make a change for future generations.

“When my daughter Laura lost her fight with cancer at the age 4, I decided that I had to do something meaningful to change the status quo. It is not acceptable that children with cancer are neglected when it comes to the development of new treatments. My drug development experience, in other rare disease areas, taught me that real change is possible. And there is no time to wait because childhood cancer won’t wait” Dr Cesare Spadoni, Founder/ Chairman of aPODD Foundation.

The aim of the charity is to find better and kinder treatments for childhood cancers and over the last two years the team has been working hard to establish their research portfolio. Currently the team has two exciting drug repurposing projects underway investigating new treatments for neuroblastoma and medullobalstoma. The charity is now approaching an exciting time, with projects results expected shortly a new website has been created to showcase their work and attract new supporters.
